Steven Lester  - Lead Pastor  Pastor Steven serves as the Lead Pastor of Tulsa Central after feeling God’s call to Tulsa in September 2011. He grew up in the rural parts of Indiana where he became an avid sports enthusiast, including football, baseball, hunting, and in later years, bicycling. He attended Olivet Nazarene University and graduated with a degree in Religion, and later attended Nazarene Theological Seminary where he received a Masters of Divinity. For the past 20 years, Pastor Steven has served in the Church of the Nazarene in Miami, OK, Peoria, Ill, and Estill Springs, TN.   “ Nothing excites me more than sharing God’s redeeming love and watching His children come to life…I want to encourage and teach everyone with all the wisdom God has given me. My primary role is to preach, pray, and lead…and I must lead by example. Therefore my relationship with Christ is exemplified by how I love my wife, children, and my church. ”   Pastor Steven has been married to his wife Rhonda for the past 32 years and have 3 children: Kristin, Lindsay, and Drew.

We are a Nazarene Safe facility that puts children first.  Pastor Melanie’s deepest desire is to see children ask Jesus into their hearts and help parents to actively participate in their families’ spiritual development.  With Biblically based curriculum and volunteers with a passion to teach and love children, our goal is to help children find their place in God’s Kingdom.  Discovery Kingdom Preschool is an outreach ministry Tulsa Central began in 1981. With a loving and experienced staff, we strive to provide a safe and creative environment where children are able to learn and discover. Melanie Ross - Children's Pastor

  Christina Knight  - Special Needs Pastor  Christina serves as Pastor of Special Needs Ministries at Tulsa Central. She grew up in the Tulsa area before heading to college at the University of Notre Dame (go Irish!) for a degree in Accountancy. Christina is a CPA and has served in business and nonprofit accounting roles.    Christina has a passion for people with special needs. She is blessed with two sons and two nephews (ranging in age from 8 to 19) with diagnoses on the autism spectrum and a brother-in-law with an intellectual disability. Over the past decade she’s been active in mentoring children and teens with special needs in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts; volunteering in the autism program at Broken Arrow Public Schools; and serving on the board of LeadLearnLive, a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing college degree and certificate programs to Oklahoma for students with disabilities.  In her “free time” she enjoys reading and playing the piano and marimba.  It is Christina’s heartfelt desire that all people with disabilities would have a place in the church, a place for spiritual instruction, care, and community, a place to grow, love, and be loved.  “All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is part of it.”  1 Corinthians 12:27
